ShelterBox

One of the aims of this trip is to raise money for the charity ShelterBox.  The essential work of ShelterBox helps thousands of people every year, all over the world in which I am travelling.

I have been completely overwhelmed by the response this project has recieved.  The total raised is now approaching £10,000!!!

Thank you to everyone who has donated money towards this cause so far.

Below is a little information about ShelterBox.  For much more information, links to the right take you to their site.

What they do!

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most.
They are now firmly established at the forefront of disaster relief and their work constantly earns the respect of outside agencies.

Who they help!

The goal of ShelterBox is to help 50,000 families who lose everything in a disaster every year and with your help they will achieve this goal.

It´s all about the box!

The ShelterBox solution in disaster response is as simple as it is effective.

ShelterBox delivers the essentials a family needs to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.
Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.
